Allowrie Street House

This new residence has been designed to maximise access to the stunning city and mountain views in the distance.

A central courtyard with a feature tree becomes the internal focus of the residence, the windows to the court bring the light and air through the internal spaces.

The home is 5 bedroom + Study, 3.5 bathroom with a double garage. The project is due to finish construction very soon.

Above: Construction photos showing the scaffolding around the courtyard & rear deck. Internal construction photos showing the kitchen progress and the Master ensuite.

Below: An early photo of the timber frame of the house coming together, with the city peeking through in the background.

What our clients are saying...

Nat & Tony
-Our clients for Tweed River House

After a false start with another architect who wasn’t very interested in our design style & preference, we were given the name of Folar Studio. Although James is a pro at the contemporary design style, he was willing to meet with us & fulfill our dream of an old world European style home.

I had some very definite thoughts & dreams for our home and James was always so positive & listened to all of my ideas & thoughts & helped me see them come to life in his drawings. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him he was always so pleasant & would help me troubleshoot things that wouldn’t quite work. He also had a great team behind the scenes helping him bring our home to life.

As time wore on, I feel I ended up with some lovely friends in both James & Gemma who helps run the interior design side was also really helpful & always supported my design choices but still pointed out to me some things I hadn’t considered or alternatives that could possibly work.

We spent many many hours together & shared many laughs - the whole usually painful process was actually fun. I would highly recommend James and his team they truly listen & gently guide someone like me who has definite ideas & I think they are almost as excited to see it come to life as we are
