Welsby | New Farm, Brisbane

Under Construction

Welsby 27.png

This renovation & extension is for a growing family of 5 is set in the heart of New Farm, Brisbane.

The existing pre-1946 cottage, which was required to be retained on the site by local Council, has been raised & built under. The cottage has been integrated into the new 2-level extension to the rear of the property.

Our design approach leverages from the existing pool at the rear of the site, next to which a garden sanctuary has been created. The double height space is semi-enclosed by a roof canopy and a crafted terracotta screen.

The natural timber tones are complimented by the bold polished concrete throughout the house.

What our clients are saying...

Len & Stacey

-Our clients for Lower Bowen Terrace

After some time searching for an Architect that understood our vision for our bespoke New Farm development, we decided to work with Folar Studio for our project.

We have found FOLAR to be very professional and informative for our consultations, & as our project is a major renovation, we have been very impressed with James and his team on presenting us with several design options, for the unique combination of a 1925 home and a 1950's squash court.

This initial engagement has confirmed our decision to engage FOLAR  for the complete design process of our home.
